T2 Week 8 16-20th January 2011

Please read everyday for 20 minutes.

Write down the title of the book and how many pages you read each evening.

This term for the spelling homework, I will be asking the children to write a mini story each week.

The goal is to include:
- all 5 of their spelling words
- one fabulous word from the previous week
- another language focus I give them (ie: proper nouns, action verbs, adjectives...)

To write at least one or two paragraphs of a fiction or non-fiction story in full sentences using correct punctuation, spelling and grammar. I have found that incorrect grammar and punctuation is a re-occurring problem in my class and hopefully this will allow the children to focus on these aspects of their writing as they are not required to write so much.

Sunday: Spelling: Write a mini story.
You must include:
-Your 5 spelling words
-1 fabulous word from last week
-3 action verbs
-at least 1 long paragraph or 2 small ones
-correct spellings of all words, punctuation and grammar

Complete the work in your purple word study book.

Monday: Math: Word problems sheet

Tuesday: Math: Multiplication worksheet

Wednesday: Fabulous Words: 3 words, one sentence each. Do them on your Google Doc if you can.
